Yellow Flag Diary.

The last term has been busy. The Yellow Flag was welcomed with much excitement.

A special Assembly followed by the hoisting of the flag.

A party for the YF committee to celebrate their hard work.

Ongoing project work on different countries.

The opening of the new school canteen an initiative by the KASI group who provide meals twice daily to staff and students. It is providing a wonderful service to the school and is an invaluable base for training for the wonderful community of asylum seekers and refugees forging and strengthening friendships between us all.

The final meeting of the YF committee of 2014-2016 was held to discuss past and future work. We look forward to the work that many of our 6th class pupils will pursue in secondary school particularly encouraging their new schools to become aware of the philosophy and the YF programme.

I would like to sincerely thank the pupils, staff, parents and community representatives on the committee as well as the pupils and staff across the schoolwho worked relentlessly during the past two years and embraced the YF programme.

We will create an action plan for 2016-2017 with the help of new committee members . Any suggestions would be most welcome and can be handed into the office for the attention of Mr D’arcy.
