St. Oliver's will re-open on Thursday, August 27th 2026

  • Doors Open at 8:40 am
  • Classes commence at 8:50am
  • Junior and Senior Infant classes finish at 1:30 pm
  • 1st to 6th Classes finish at 2:30 pm

The school will be closed on the following dates

  • October: Mid-term Monday 26th to Friday 30th October 2026
  • December: Christmas Holidays Tuesday 22nd December 2026 (School closes @ 12 noon)
  • January:  School Return Wednesday 6th January 2027
  • February:  Bank Holiday  Monday 1st February 2027
  • February:  Mid Term Break Thursday 18th and Friday 19th February 2027
  • March:  St. Patrick's Day Wednesday 17th March 2027
  • March:  Easter Holidays, Friday 19th March 2027 (Closing @ 12 noon)
  • April:  School Return Monday 5th April 2027
  • May: Bank Holiday -  Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th May 2027
  • June:  Bank Holiday - Monday 7th & Tuesday 8th June 2027

SCHOOL CLOSES ON  Wednesday, 23rd June 2027.

Physical Education in St. Oliver's

Every class in St. Oliver’s strives to reach 60 minutes of timetabled PE per week. This may be a combination of PE in the Halla, outside or in the classroom.

The PE curriculum is divided into 6 strands:

  • Athletics
  • Dance
  • Gymnastics
  • Games
  • Outdoor and Adventure activities
  • Aquatics

This year's priority PE strand is Athletics. We are also prioritising four fundamental movement skills this school year - Running, Walking, Skipping and Hopping.
