the local community. We plan to skype schools in other countries and begin a
pen-pal exchange.

Grandparents Day –February 4th.A celebration of
diverse lives and stories.

Volunteers and preparations began for St Patrick’s Day
parade. The theme Ireland Past, Present,
Future incorporating Youth and Imagination.

Show Racism the Red Card – The One Race Art Exhibition was
launched in Killarney Library by Garrett Mullan and Kerry Mayor Pat McCarthy.

The exhibition is very important in promoting the anti-racism
education message. It recognises the work of schools, youth services and young
people in their efforts to promote inclusion and oppose racism.

We are very proud of
our involvement in encouraging the exhibition to come to Kerry and of Laura
Cremins (5th Ms J O Sullivan)
whose wonderful picture is included in the exhibition.

The pupils and
teachers of the YF committee were delighted to attend the event with other
local schools.

Well done to Rian Gill
for volunteering to be Jeff the Reff!.

We now hope that as
many schools as possible will attend the exhibit and become involved in SRTRC
and promote the anti racism message.

We are very appreciative of all the work done in preparation
for the event by the staff of Killarney library.

Be sure to look at all the
work being done across the school by looking at the photo gallery.
