On the 6th & 7th of April, we participated in the M.A.D. days (as Mr. D'Arcy calls it - short for Music, Arts and Drama).  Eleven people including myself had volunteered to do a dance from Ghana.  We practiced the dance for two weeks on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  The dance was simple and I was a flower girl. All the girls had their hair platted in wool and we all wore traditional Ghananian clothes.  There were six dancers, one drummer, one umbrella holder, a king, queen, two pillow holders and myself the flower girl. We performed for the assemblies on the 6th April. Afterwards we went back to our classroom and played the drums and danced while Charlotte explained about the culture of Ghana to the Infants.  On the 7th April had more time to look at all the Music, Art & Drama stations.  I found the MAD days very enjoyable.

My most memorable day in 6th class was the MAD (Music, Art & Drama) day - 7th April. We had so much fun!. Our first lesson was Irish dancing. We enjoyed dancing and we got to see our friends dancing - they were very funny.  We also got to listen to Irish musicians. They played all kinds of music instruments. It was interesting to listen to their music and afterwards we were allowed to play the instruments. During the MAD day we also made bracelets, painted paintings with water colour, saw the Ghananian dance and got to participate in some drama.  I really enjoyed the day and we learned something new too!
