  School Closures

We in St Olivers have made our Christmas plum puddings using a secret ingredient . Traditionally people in Ireland make all their puddings together 6 to 8 weeks before Christmas . People keep one pudding to be eaten around St. Patricks Day or Easter Sunday. As so much fruit is used in the pudding and long before Electric mixers it was the custom for everyone in the house to stir the mixture. On doing so they made a wish so this pudding has 28 wishes stirred into it. The longer you keep the pudding the more the taste matures. In fact it can last up to 1 year some people believe. We got 3 and a half puddings out of this mixture. Mr . Horgan got one as he supplied the magic ingredient , We experimented with steaming one in the microwave and one is on its way to one of you who loves your food and I am sure will appreciate the magic ingredient. Enjoy and as they say in Ireland Nollaig Shona.
