St. Oliver's will re-open on Thursday, August 28th 2025

  • Doors Open at 8:40 am
  • Classes commence at 8:50am
  • Junior and Senior Infant classes finish at 1:30 pm
  • 1st to 6th Classes finish at 2:30 pm

The school will be closed on the following dates

  • October Mid-term  -  Monday 27th to Friday 31st October 2025
  • December Church Holiday - Monday 8th December 2025
  • Christmas Holidays  -  Friday 19th December 2025 to Friday 2nd Jan 2026 (School closes on Friday 19th @ 12 noon and re-opens on Monday 5th of January 2026)
  • February Bank Holiday:  Monday 2nd of February 2026
  • Mid Term Break- Thurs 19th and Friday 20th February 2026
  • St. Patrick's Day  - Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th March 2026
  • Easter Holidays - Monday 30th March to Friday 10th April inclusive. (Closing on Friday 27th April @ 12 noon and re-opening on Monday 13th April 2026)
  • May Bank Holiday -  Monday 4th May 2026
  • June Bank Holiday - Monday 1st June 2026

  School Closures

We are delighted that our school has been sucessful in our application for this Comenius Project. We will be working alongside 12 other European countries. Our project will encompas the theme of plants and trees in our local environment. It will be cross-circular in interdisciplinary with hands-on activities leading to research based work using head heart and hands; all our senses ! Schools will have a 2 year lasting expanding exhibition. We will have meetings to exchange material , evaluate results and join the local project work. Everything will be published on the Comenius Website. We hope to encourage the contribution of local experts, ie farmers, scientists, artists etc and relevant organisations. We have chosen the POTATO as our main plant and we hope to develop the history of the potato and potato cultivation, recipes and food production. This is going to be a very exciting project and parents' participation will be very welcome. Our first meeting will be heldinTirnavos,Greece between 7th-14th October 2012 and Mrs. Maired Kerrisk (co-ordinator), Mr.Tommy Galvin and Ms Claire O'Sullivan will attend this meeting. We hope the project website will be up and running after this meeting and it will keep you informed of all future developments.
